Kenneth M. Perkins Sr., 75, died at 5:35 p.m. Nov. 27, 2015, at Canterbury Nursing and Rehab, Fort Wayne.
He was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Hazard, Ky., to James Thomas and Mary Jane King Perkins. He was married to Sandra Perkins, who preceded him in death Nov. 23, 2010.
He was a high school graduate. He served during the Korean War with the United States Army. He lived in Warsaw for 25 years, coming from Kentucky. He was a mechanic.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth “Monty” Perkins Jr., Warsaw, and Bob (and spouse Tammy) Perkins, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mary Perkins, Warsaw; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters: Christine Lloyd, Beattyville, Ky.; Irene (and spouse Kenny) Riley, Garrett; Darlene (and spouse Harry) Riley, Elaine Beck and Tina (and spouse Ray) Lawson, all of Auburn; and Marilyn (and spouse Walter) Couch, LaFontaine; two brothers, Jerry Lee (and spouse Marilyn) Perkins, Nicholasville, Ky., and Lloyd Perkins, Fort Wayne. He also was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Jane Perkins; a daughter, Evelyn “Tina” Hyde, who died Jan. 25, 2010; a son, Albert Maples, who died in 2001; and three sisters, Lyda Ruth, Lorraine and Helen Perkins.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Justin Couch, nephew, officiating.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
