Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Milton KoontzNORTH MANCHESTER – Kenneth “Kenny” Milton Koontz, 84, Sidney, died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at his residence.

He was born June 8, 1935, in  Kosciusko County, to Amer and Anna L. Copeland Koontz. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He worked as a pipefitter at General Motors for 32 years, before retiring in 1990. He married Josephine Delmuth on Feb. 18, 1972. She survives. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, North Manchester.

He graduated from Sidney High School in 1953. Kenny was a wonderful and kind soul, that set an example of how to treat others. He enjoyed his time golfing, fishing, spending time at Rock Lake and being with family. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Kenny was a member of the American Legion Post 286, North Manchester, and of the UAW.

Surviving are sons, Forrester (Debra) Asher, South Whitley; Troy (Deana) Asher, Huntington; daughter, Lori Reust, North Manchester; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents; and son, Stephen W. Koontz.

There will be no calling. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 1203 Ind. 114, North Manchester, with the Rev. Dennis Di Benedetto officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley St., North Manchester.
