Kenneth 'Ken' Peryam

PEORIA, Ill. – Kenneth “Ken” Peryam, 67, East Peoria, Ill., passed away and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, April 16, 2016, at his home.
He was born April 29, 1948, in Baltimore, Md., to David R. and Gail Terwilliger Peryam. On July 26, 1969, in Park Forest, Ill., he married Margaret “Peggy” Miller, who survives.
He attended the University of Wyoming and earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from SIU-Carbondale. He was a member of Sigma Chi. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era from 1968 through 1971.
He was a quality control engineer for Komatsu, Peoria. He was a member of the First Covenant Church, Peoria, and the Mid Illini Jeep Club. He was an avid Jeep and Ford Bronco fan and enjoyed rebuilding vehicles his whole life as a hobby.
Also surviving are a son, Ben (and spouse Natalie) Peryam, Great Falls, Mont.; two daughters: Betsy (and spouse John) Wegner, Wenona, Ill., and Jennifer Peryam, Winona Lake; 14 grandchildren; and two sisters, Laura (and spouse Rick) Luchsinger, Lusk, Wyo., and Mary Louise (and spouse Ron) Noton, Encampment, Wyo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Levi; and a brother, Bruce Peryam.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Covenant Church, Peoria, with the Rev. Kevin Wright officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, Peoria, is in charge of arrangements.
