BLUFFTON – Kenneth E. Schneider, 93, of Bluffton, formerly of Leesburg, died Jan. 26, 2013, in Bluffton Regional Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1919, in Indianapolis, to Ernest W. and Naomi E. Ungericht Schneider. On Oct. 5, 1946, he married Esther Jane Okey, who preceded him in death in 1994. He moved to the Leesburg area in 1978 coming from Anderson. He had resided with his daughter in Bluffton since 2006. He was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church. He belonged to the Centre Lodge 23 Masonic in Indianapolis; Scottish Rite, Indianapolis; and the Lakeland Kiwanis Club, North Webster. Surviving are a daughter, Paula Jane Beck, Bluffton; a son, Jeffery Schneider, South Bend; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, and a brother. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private burial will be at Crownhill Cemetery, Indianapolis. Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
