ROCHESTER - Kenneth Dean Bryant, 88, of 1204 Jackson Blvd., Rochester, died Dec. 29, 2009, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
He was born June 9, 1921, in Athens, to John Ray and Meda Florence Bernard Bryant. On June 12, 1942, in Rochester, he married Rowena Grace McIntire, who survives.
He was a lifetime Fulton County resident. He served in the US Army as a PFC in World War II.
Also surviving are two daughters, Janice (and spouse Gene) Koch and Mary (and spouse Steven) Sundine, all of Rochester; a son, Ronald (and spouse Shawn) Bryant, Rochester; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson and a sister.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Chaplain Charles Azbell and the Rev. Junior Bose officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the LeRoy Shelton American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. The Rochester IOOF Lodge 47 will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
