WAKARUSA - Kelvin "Kip" Prenkert, 65, of 64431 CR 1, Wakarusa, died at 10:35 p.m. Feb. 8, 2009, in Elkhart General Hospital, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident Friday in Wakarusa.
He was born July 4, 1943, in Galien, Mich., to Fred and Audrey Paul Prenkert. On June 12, 1965, in Wakarusa, he married Jeanette Wisler, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, including Derry (and spouse Janelle) Prenkert, Nappanee; four grandchildren; and a brother. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Wakarusa Missionary Church with Pastor Paul Commons officiating. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa, is in charge of arrangements.
