William A. Kelly, Claypool, and Jason R. Thompson, Akron, were inducted into the Alpha Chi Honor Society, Indiana Lambda Chapter, at Indiana Tech April 26.Kelly and Thompson were two of only 27 people inducted for 2009 at Indiana Tech.
Alpha Chi has more than 300,000 members from some 300 college and university chapters. These chapters will induct more than 10,000 new members this year and will promote scholarly achievement and high character on their campuses as well as in the academic community at large.
Members of the Alpha Chi, identified and elected by the faculties of their schools as ranking in the top 10 percent of juniors and seniors, represent the best undergraduate scholarship in all academic fields at their institutions. Election to Alpha Chi is the highest academic honor bestowed upon students at Indiana Tech.
