Thinking of starting a business? Own a business but need to learn more or rethink your business? Have a part-time business and wondering whether it can make it full time? Or know someone who has these questions. Then this course is for you:
The Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation will be holding its second Small Business Success Course beginning April 10 at McClain Hall of Grace College.
The Course is a 5 week-30 hours of training in being a successful small business owner, and is taught by 20 successful business owners and professionals from our area. It is a great opportunity to not only learn from successful people but to create ongoing business relationships with instructors and other students.
Craig Allebach, KEDCo Small Business and Entrepreneurial Development Chair noted that last year’s course was very successful. “The students used superlatives to describe the quality of the course and the hands-on knowledge of the instructors.”
He noted that several have launched their businesses and several have written great notes thanking us for the Course because it brought them to the conclusion that starting a small business wasn’t for them. “We consider that a successful outcome as well,” said Allebach.
According to KEDCo President George Robertson, “Since 20 percent of all new jobs created in America are from people starting their own businesses, KEDCo is committed to assist new and young businesses in our County. But new businesses have a high closure rate so this course was designed to outline those failure issues and teach business owners how to succeed, prosper, and grow their business. “
