The Kosciusko Development Inc. board altered bylaws Wednesday during a short meeting at the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce meeting room.
The quorum of members was altered to 40 percent, or 10 members, instead of 51 percent.
Other modifications included a section regarding non-liability of directors and insurance coverage.
The budget was set to be approved at the annual meeting each January.
Executive director Joy McCarthy-Sessing reported that several applicants have been interviewed for the position of economic development director.
McCarthy-Sessing said two inquiries were received regarding available manufacturing facilities.
Members discussed the possibility of a learning center to maintain a work force for county employees.
Establishment of such a facility hinges on several factors: the amount of the CAPE grant sponsored by Lily Endowment Inc. sought by the Kosciusko County Foundation, establishment of a separate not-for-profit organization and decisions made by Ivy Tech over the next few years.
It was noted that state funding is available as long as a program is in place.
The board expects such an institution could be established within five years.
The next meeting was set for June 27 at noon.
