Sheriff William Rocky Goshert (R) was approached early last month about the increasing amount of hypodermic needles that the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department are disposing of through criminal cases, jail medical use and the medication disposal program the KCSD participates in. Due to the increased necessity of this type of service, Goshert implemented into operation a needle grinder that makes the remains of a discarded needle safe for disposal. Pictured with Goshert is jail nurse Michelle Moody with the new needle grinder.
