A "warrant blitz" kept officers at the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department busy Monday.
In a 12-hour effort, officers served 25 warrants from Kosciusko and Wabash counties on 18 individuals Monday. The blitz was an effort to reduce the amount of outstanding warrants that have boat-loaded the county for many years.
Kosciusko County deputies worked during their non-scheduled hours and some on their day off.Sheriff Rocky Goshert said this is one of many proactive programs that he plans for the future.
On Monday, the 25 warrants served included 13 for misdemeanors, three for felonies, three for civil matters and one for an infraction. Five of the 25 warrants were for Wabash County offenses.
Those arrested were:
* Melissa Lynn Wheeler, 26, of 7933 E. CR 500S, Pierceton, arrested on a warrant in a civil matter. Bond: $1,000.
* Carolyn Gay Sapp, 52, of 8280 U.S. 30E, Pierceton, arrested for check deception. Bond: $275.
* Richard Lee Collins, 41, of 19 EMS B64 Lane, Warsaw, arrested for misdemeanor battery. Bond: $750.
* Erika Sanchez, 26, of 1692 E. CR 200N, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.
* Deborah Ann Rice, aka Deborah Ann Stutzman, 45, of 201 E. Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse, arrested on a warrant in a civil matter. Bond: $300.
* Charilla Martens, 38, of 5416 W. High St., Silver Lake, arrested on a warrant in a civil matter. Bond: $3,000.
* Christopher Smith, 29, of 127 N. Orchard Drive, Warsaw, arrested on six counts of check deception. Bond: $1,600.
* Daniel Ybarra, 23, of 7048 Heritage Drive, Pierceton, arrested for misdemeanor battery. No bond set.
* Anthony Gene Simcox, 29, of 735 W. Market St., Warsaw, arrested for misdemeanor battery. Bond: $500.
* Christina Joy Kreider, 36, of 3723 S. CR 350E, Warsaw, arrested for failure to comply. No bond set.
* Timothy Scott Schoettmer, 47, of 324 N. Grant St., Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $25,000.
* Desiree Ann Walters, 21, of 714 Southside Drive, Warsaw, arrested on two counts of failure to appear. Bond: $600.
* Andrew Lynn Ybarra, 24, of 3104 E. Wooster Road, Pierceton, arrested for assisting a criminal and disorderly conduct. Bond: $5,000.
* Evelyn Ann Gillum, aka Evelyn Ann Gonzalez, 29, of 2441 W. CR 250S, Warsaw, arrested for felony non-support. Bond: $10,000.
* Sherman Herald Gillum, 28, of 2441 W. CR 250S, Warsaw, arrested for check deception. Bond: $225.
* June Knee, 40, of 1200 Chestnut St., Winona Lake, arrested for felony theft. Bond: $2,000.
* Scot Edward Puckett, 19, of 8078 S. Thomas Drive, Claypool, arrested on an out-of-county warrant. No bond set.
