The Kosciusko Community Hospital Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Jerry Beasley as chief executive officer.
Beasley comes to Kosciusko Community Hospital from Fort Wayne, where he served as chief executive officer of St. Joseph Hospital for the past five years. Beasley brings more than 25 years of hospital management experience to KCH.
At St. Joseph, he managed the 191-bed acute care hospital that includes the region's only burn center. Before serving at St. Joseph, Beasley was appointed chief operations officer at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, for nine years. He previously served for three years as senior vice president of operations at Lutheran Hospital. Before joining the Lutheran Health Network, Beasley was vice president of Elkhart General Hospital. He began his healthcare career as a registered nurse, working at both Goshen and Parkview hospitals.
Beasley received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University, an associate's degree in nursing from Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration from Southern California University. He is active in civic and professional organizations, including Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, Downtown Improvement Board, SuperShot, Midwest Alliance for Health Education and Fort Wayne Hospital Administrative Counsel. Beasley and his wife, Ruth, have two grown children. He and his wife will move to Kosciusko County.

"Jerry truly distinguished himself during his tenure at St. Joseph and Lutheran Hospital through his focus on improving service to patients and physicians. He understands the importance employees play in this process and demonstrates his respect for their contributions."

Beasley will begin as Kosciusko Community Hospital's new CEO June 5.
