A while back due to being ill, I had a stay in KCH for a few days. They took very good care of me so I am thankful for that.

For a period of approximately three days and nights, there were five children running loose at all hours of the day and night. The staff tried to discipline them. The parents made no effort to keep them under control. They destroyed the family lounge and had foot races in the halls. Time and time again, the staff tried to get them to behave. They were even in rooms only authorized for staff helping themselves to whatever they wanted.

I contacted the hospital CEO who had been on vacation when this happened. I would certainly hope that if such a situation occurs again that hospital security would step in to correct the situation.

The staff are there to help people who are ill get well. They are not babysitters.
