KCCF Grant To Assist With New Band, Orchestra UniformsWarsaw Community High School band and orchestra students hope to soon enjoy the replacement of their uniforms with the assistance of a $5,000 grant provided by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
The WCS instrumental music program offers students an opportunity to practice, perform and compete in a multitude of settings for a varied audience, according to a news release from the school corporation. Being a performer in the program allows them to connect with their peers and members of the community, as well as be showcased on the state and national stage.
The ongoing project is being coordinated by Robert Brannock, director of bands, and Heather Brannock, director of orchestras for WCS, as well as the WCHS Band Booster Club, its president and executive board members.
The band and orchestra directors have a combined experience of more than 35 years in public education, with several booster members serving in the local business community.
To fund the remainder of the project, the Warsaw Instrumental Music Program is seeking local partners with an interest in supporting the arts and music education in the schools and community. To help support the program, contact Robert Brannock at rbrannock@warsawschools.org.
