KCCF Golf Fundraiser Participants Sought

Posted
Golf entry forms have been mailed for the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund’s annual golf event fundraiser.

This year’s event is Sept. 7 at Stonehenge Golf Club. It is open to all participants who want to support the KCCF mission statement of reducing the challenges facing cancer patients and their families by financially assisting them during their fight.

During last year’s golf fundraiser more than $20,000 was raised for the Cancer Care Fund, according to Ron Smock, Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund golf event chairman.

The cost is $500 per team.

All net proceeds are used for rent, mortgages, utilities, prescription medications, food, insurance, wigs, travel to treatments and other expenses incurred during their battle with cancer.

There is a $5,000 putting contest, mulligans for sale and a par three contest.

There were 40 teams who participated last year, and the goal is 50 teams this year, Smock said.

There are shot gun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Hole-in-one sponsors are Lake Side Chevrolet, Explorer Van, Elliott’s Trailers & Carts, Warsaw Autoplex and Brandt’s Harley Davidson.

Breakfast sponsors are Lake City Bank and lunch sponsors are Tower Bank.

Entry forms can be picked up at the Stonehenge Golf Shop or from any committee member. Registration is available on the K21 Health Foundation website, www.k21foundation.org

Team entry and hole sponsorship forms also can be forwarded via email. For more information on how to participate as a hole sponsor, or as a volunteer to help keep the fund endowed, contact Ron Smock at rons@indianadimensional.com or 574-453-8588.
