Kosciusko County Educational Development introduces a 2014 Tippecanoe Valley High School graduate who went through its program.
Cameron Castle joined KC-Ed as a junior when his football coach approached him with the opportunity, according to a provided press release from the organization.
Castle said that through the KC-Ed program and his relationship with his graduation coach, he was able to make the honor roll, graduate high school, get clean of substances and create a vision for his future.
Castle's dream was to become a machinist and live the American dream by providing for his son, Brantlee, and his girlfriend, Taylor.
Today he is accomplishing that goal, the release states. He is going on two years clean of substances, is providing for his family, and just received a promotion to be a machinist.
KC-Ed’s mission is to promote high school graduation, one relationship at a time. Its K-12 programs serve four area school corporations: Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw, Wawasee and Whitko. KC-Ed is in its fifth year of operation and has served nearly 400 students during that time. KC-Ed is a 501(c)3 public charity and is entirely funded by grants and individual or corporate donations.
