Warsaw’s varsity baseball team hosted Kokomo for a doubleheader Saturday, but couldn’t tame the Wildkats. Kokomo swept the Tigers, winning the first game 12-1 and posting a 14-4 win in the second contest. In the opener, Warsaw had five hits and committed three errors, while Kokomo scored its 12 runs on 10 hits and had one error. Bryce Sensibaugh led the Tiger offense with a pair of hits in the first game. Braxton Tennant was charged with the loss on the mound. In the second game, Kokomo scored its 14 runs on 11 hits and didn’t commit an error, while the Tigers tallied four hits and no errors. Henry Howard, Zach Witt, Luke Baker and Tennant each had a hit for Warsaw in the loss, while Isaac Lenon took the loss on the mound. Warsaw is now 4-5 on the season and will get back into its Northern Lakes Conference schedule this week, hosting NorthWood today and Northridge Thursday.
