NAPPANEE – Katie A. Slabaugh, 94, Nappanee, died at 1 p.m. Sept. 4, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born April 24, 1922, in Nappanee, to Daniel I. and Barbara S. Schmucker Hochstetler. On Dec. 28, 1944, she married Daniel T. Slabaugh, who preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2003. Services will be Thursday at the Carl Schwartz residence, 10485 W. CR 1350N, with Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church officiating. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery. Calling is after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Schwartz residence. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
