INDIANAPOLIS - Live Nation and Indy.com announced that one of Oxygen Network's "50 Funniest Women Alive," Emmy nominated actress, comedian, and producer Kathy Griffin will perform at the Murat Theatre on Aug. 23.

Griffin started her career in acting and comedy in the early 1980s when she moved from Chicago to Los Angeles, where she joined the infamous comedy troupe The Groudlings.

After various television guest spots, including stints on "ER" and "Seinfeld," and most notably her role as Vickie Groener in NBC's "Suddenly Susan," Griffin began gaining notice as a stand-up comedienne and landed her own "HBO One-Hour Comedy Special" - "A Hot Cup of Talk."

She conquered reality TV, having competed in and won ABC's "Celebrity Mole," starred in the MTV series "Kathy's So-Called Reality" and hosted the NBC reality series "Average Joe."

Most recently, Griffin has found a home on Bravo. She has a set of four very successful stand-up specials. She is also the star of her own reality TV show, "My Life On The D-List."

Tickets for Kathy Griffin will be $65, $42.50 and $35 plus applicable fees. Tickets go on sale April 7 at 10 a.m.
