NORTH MANCHESTER – Kathryn Gillespie Huntington died Monday, May 4, 2020, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
She was born in Rochester on Sept. 8, 1920, to Perry Warren and Margaret Metzger Gillespie.
She proudly enlisted and served as a lieutenant in the WAVES from 1944 to 1946, stationed in San Francisco where she monitored shipping communications in the Pacific.
She married John T. Huntington of Mount Ayr on Aug. 15, 1948.
A memorial service will be held at Peabody Home Memorial Chapel, North Manchester, at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
