MILFORD – Kathryn E. “Kate” Sauder, 85, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and formerly of Milford, died Feb. 23, 2012, in her residence, surrounded by family.
She was born March 11, 1926, in Milford, to Oscar and Hulda Beer Graff. On Sept. 13, 1953, she married Eugene Sauder, who survives.
She graduated from Milford High School in 1944 and continued her education at Goshen College. She was a school teacher in Milford and also in Scottsdale, where she and her husband moved in 1982. She was a member of Immanuel Bible Church and the Auxiliary of Gideon’s International.
Also surviving are a son, Mark (and spouse Carol), Scottsdale; two grandchildren; three sisters: Mildred (and spouse Ray) Levy, Warsaw; Clara (and spouse Dick) Kaiser, Milford; and Phyllis (and spouse Herb) Hueni, Osceola. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford, with Pastor Tom Speicher officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be given to Gideon’s International.
