COLUMBIA CITY - Katherine V. Kyler, 92, of Columbia City, died at 4:04 a.m. May 24, 2010, in Grace Village, Winona Lake.
She was born July 31, 1917, in Richland Township, to Robert Logan and Ella Leora Payne Cullimore. On Dec. 24, 1938, in Columbia City, she married Harold W. Kyler, who preceded her in death.
Raised in Whitley County, she later moved to Van Wert, Ohio, and Indianapolis. In November 2001, she moved to Oak Pointe, Columbia City. She graduated from Columbia City High School in 1935. She formerly worked at Blue Bel Inc., Columbia City; Stump's Printing, South Whitley; and Essex's Metal & Plastic Co., Columbia City. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, a former member of Order of Eastern Star and a former Lady Lioness, both in Larwill.
Surviving are two daughters, Nikki (and spouse Peter) Wolkins, Warsaw, and Cindy Davis, Fort Wayne; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, D. Jane Hamilton, Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastor Gene Rohrer officiating. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
