LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - Karol Gwen Padgett, 55, of Greenwood, Mo., died April 24, 2007, in her residence.
She was born Sept. 20, 1951, in Warsaw, to Donald R. and Lorene G. DeMuth. On Aug. 4, 1973, in Kansas City, Kan., she married David D. Padgett Jr., who survives.
In 1969, she graduated from Warsaw Community High School, where she was a Tiger varsity cheerleader.
Also surviving are two sons, Patrick Padgett, Prairie Village, Kan., and Christopher Padgett, Greenwood, Mo.; her mother and stepfather, Rene and Lloyd Weller, Mission Woods, Kan.; two brothers, Grant DeMuth, Guntersville, Ala., and Barry DeMuth, Warsaw; a stepbrother, Rick Weller, Albuquerque, N.M.; and a stepsister, Mrs. John (Courtney) Fizer, Independence, Mo. She was preceded in death by her father and a stepfather.
A memorial service will be at a later date. Langsford Funeral Home, Lee's Summit, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
