Karl Burdette Schultz, 49, of 7408 S. Caldwell Lake Drive, Claypool, went home to be with his Lord at 6:05 p.m. March 7, 2011, in his residence.
He was born Sept. 29, 1961, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Bud and Charlotte Goody Schultz. On Dec. 31, 1998, in Marathon, Fla., he married Hazel Campbell, who survives.
He graduated from high school in Watervliet, Mich. A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 25 years, he was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool. For the past four years he worked for Kerlin Bus Sales, Silver Lake, as the service parts manager. He loved to hunt, fish and work.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Hazel Schultz, Claypool; two sons, Travis and Daniel Schultz, both of Claypool; a daughter, Kimberly Bennett, Claypool; his parents, Bud and Charlotte Schultz, Benton Harbor, Mich.; a brother, Rick Schultz, Columbus, Ohio; and his grandmother, Ardis Schultz, Benton Harbor. He was preceded in death by both his grandfathers and his maternal grandmother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, CR 700S, Claypool, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
