'Karen's Home Style To Go' OpensKaren's Home Style To Go opened its doors officially Tuesday with a grand opening scheduled for Saturday.
The bakery/eatery at 3581 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw, is owned by Karen Wolfe.
It is located north of the intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 350N, just past the Vein Institute on the left-hand side of the road.Wolfe, along with Cindy Roser, cake artist, will offer homestyle meals for carry out as well as gourmet boxed lunches, cakes and catering for anything from open houses to weddings.
The store offers items such as pies, breads, cookies, brownies and candies.
There is a daily special, which on its opening day was Tiger bread, bread matching the school colors of Warsaw Community High School.
Roser is formerly of Country Home Bakery in North Manchester where she worked for five years.
She specializes in wedding cakes and other cakes for special occassions.
She also makes 37 flavors of angel food cakes.
Roser said her personal favorite is fudge chocolate and butter pecan with coffee frosting.
Wolfe said she has worked in the food industry since she was a child.
"Food is my passion," said Wolfe. "I love to cook and make people happy with food."
It's open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday. Karen's is closed Sunday and Monday.
