AKRON – Karen Sue Wright Frolick, 59, Akron, died at 8:10 p.m. Jan. 17, 2014, in her residence surrounded by loved ones after a battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 22, 1954, in Rochester, to Waitsel L. and Adeline Matzat Wright.
She was working at Lau Industries, Rochester, where she had worked since 1996. She was a member of the Akron High School class of 1973. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge as well as the Moose Lodge, both of Rochester. She was an animal lover, especially her horses Molly and Dixie and her Golden Retriever Dakota.
Surviving are a daughter, Kindra (and spouse Nathan) Craig, Akron; a son, Shawn (and spouse Jennifer) Williams, Warsaw; three sisters: Sharon (and spouse Jay) Heckaman, Silver Lake; Shelly (and spouse Keith) Davison, Warsaw; and Brenda (and spouse Tom) Lester, Noblesville; three brothers, Bruce Hogue, Royce (and spouse Anita) Wright and Rodney (and spouse Carrie) Wright, all of Akron; five grandchildren: Brant Gerald, Rayne and Ryder Craig and Addison and Layton Williams; and a sister-in-law, Janet Wright, Claypool. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Aaron T. Williams and two brothers, Garry and Larry Wright.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery at a later date.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
