MENTONE – Karen S. Kindig, 70, Mentone, died at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 1, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Feb. 7, 1945, in Fulton County, to Gerald and Emalene Rhoades Kindig. She married Don Craig, who survives in Mentone.
She had been a secretary at DaLite Screen, Warsaw, and Craig Welding and Manufacturing. She graduated from Talma High School in 1963. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. She also loved to watch her grandchildren at their sporting events.
Also surviving are two daughters, Debbie (and spouse Troy) Butt, Dallas, Texas, and Brenda Craig, South Bend; a son, Jay (and spouse Shelly) Craig, Mentone; a brother, Richard (and spouse Betty) Kindig, Silver Lake; and five grandchildren: Katie Petlak, Lexi Butt and Alec, Emma and Lydia Craig. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Fred and Jerry Kindig; and a sister, Joyce Kindig.
Services wil be at 11 a.m. Friday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Junior Bose officiating. Burial will be in Sycamore Cemetery, Mentone.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
