Karen Elaine Sanburn, 55, of Warsaw, passed away at 3:20 p.m. May 30, 2013, in her residence. She was born Sept. 15, 1957, in Warsaw, to Ronnie and Mary Albertson Watson. A lifetime resident of Warsaw, she attended First Christian Church, Warsaw, and worked at Owen’s Supermarket for 22 years. She currently worked at Meijer. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and Swarovski crystals. Surviving are a daughter, Amanda (and spouse Gene) Denz, Warsaw; eight grandchildren: Deion McGillem; Shane Beverly; Zackary Saint; Shia, Jazzmine, Ariel and Gene IV Denz; and Daniel Haab, all of Warsaw; two brothers, Wayne (and spouse Julie) Watson, Sidney and Robert (and spouse Kim) Watson, North Manchester; and her best friend, Chris Sanburn. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Watson; two uncles, Roger Albertson and John Hicks; and two aunts, Wilma Hicks and Velam Spears. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
