KAFE Women's Symposium Scheduled Oct. 7

Kosciusko Association of Female Executives is sponsoring a women's symposium.

The symposium is titled "Leadership For Women: When Life Happens" and is Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2517 Restaurant, Warsaw. The symposium is held every two years.Symposium topics will center around a general theme of "When Life Happens" which will address both success stories and hardships in women's lives they had to overcome.

The symposium includes speakers, a continental breakfast, light lunch, door prizes, a goody bag and networking materials.

The registration cost is $25 if postmarked by Sept. 30.

Registration postmarked by Tuesday will be entered in a special drawing for one of two $25 cash prizes.

A $30 late registration fee will be accepted until Oct. 6.

Co-keynote speakers will be WSBT meteorologist Cari Peugeot and Jan Campbell. Campbell, Pierceton, created the "Boo Bunny", an ice pack for injured babies.

Other speakers are Kendra Cross, Goshen, and Shiloh O'Rourke, Indianapolis.

Cross is a national sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

O'Rourke, a former Miss Kosciusko County, holds a master's degree in education from Pepperdine University. She is currently a speaker for the Mental Health Association of Indiana and has previously addressed audiences with her story.
