Local freelance artist Steve Jones' concept was selected by the Kosciusko 21st Century Foundation board of directors as the logo best depicting the purpose and goals of the foundation.
The official logo will be released after Jones makes some minor modifications requested by the board.
The board also received a report from Dr. John Davis and Steve Miller, from the Quorum board of directors, on the compliance of the hospital with the terms of the sale.
According to Davis, Quorum is in compliance and on schedule with commitments made when Quorum purchased the hospital earlier this year. Quorum has budgeted $4.799 million for improvements to the surgical department in 2000; $1.88 million for a new clinic in North Manchester, which will be staffed by four physicians; $2,125,595 in other routine capital investments; and $1,257,208 for improvements in the hospital's information systems.
""I'm very pleased with Quorum's report," said Oppenheim. "They are right on target, and maybe a little bit ahead, on what they promised as a condition of the sale."
In other business, the board elected its officers for 2000.
Pat Oppenheim will continue as board chairman, John Hall will be vice chairman, Carl Ellis will serve as treasurer and Dr. Erin Jungbauer will serve as secretary.
