K21 Donates to Help Replace NWCC Roof

NORTH WEBSTER – The K21 Health Foundation recently approved a $50,000 matching grant to help replace the roof of the North Webster Community Center.
Citing the age of the building and damage caused by record snowfall, center directors determined the roof needs to be completely replaced.
“The existing roof has been repaired and patched to its limit,” Erin Smith, NWCC executive director, is quoted as saying in K21’s announcement of the award.” At this point, we experience leaks each and every time it rains or snow melts. There isn’t any place in the building that is safe from possible water damage.”
K21 President and CEO Rich Haddad in the announcement called the NWCC “a significant asset in the North Webster area. “We are constantly amazed at the amount of healthy programs and activity going on there. Our hope in this matching grant is to incentivize the businesses and residents of the community this critical improvement to the center.”
A number of organizations call the NWCC home, including the YMCA, North Webster Library and the Senior Primelife Enrichment Center. The facility also offers a variety of physical activity programs such as walking, pickleball and Romp ‘n’ Roll.
