Justice For Adam

Posted

Family and friends of the late Adam Porter marched with signs calling for justice from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday afternoon in front of the house where Porter was shot Aug. 14. The protesters are questioning how long it is taking for the incident to be legally resolved as no charges have been filed against David Hagan, who shot Porter in his backyard on West Buckeye Street in South Whitley. Whitley County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Rentschler has said his office is waiting for reports from the state police and that there will be a resolution of the matter in the near future. Porter’s mother, Tonya Warner, said because Adam died here, it seemed an appropriate place to bring attention to Adam’s story. A group of about 30 people chanted his first and last names as well as ‘Justice for Adam’ and ‘Unarmed, don’t shoot.’
