MENTONE – Julianne M. Thompson, 88, Mentone, died at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 23, 2016, at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born May 7, 1927, in Kosciusko County, to Jerry and Alice Verrecca Benzart. She had been a bookkeeper for Smith Tire Service, Warsaw, for 40 years. She was a graduate of Burket High School. She was a member of the Business Women of America. Surviving are a daughter, Tamah Thompson, Tippecanoe; two sons, Terry Thompson, San Francisco, Calif., and Tony (and spouse Deborah) Thompson, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Rachel (and spouse Ryan) Parker and Eric (and spouse Holly) Thompson; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Verna Whitesell. A private family service will be Friday with the Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery.
