Judy Shepherd, 63, Warsaw, passed away at 7:40 a.m. April 13, 2014, at her residence. She was born Nov. 29, 1950, in Warsaw, to Amon and Mary Compton Prater. On May 5, 1973, in Packerton, she married Roland Shepherd, who survives. She was a resident of Kosciusko County her entire life. She was a graduate of Pierceton High School, class of 1970. She worked at Da-Lite Screen for seven years and Dalton Foundry for 19-1/2 years. She became disabled in 1996. Also surviving are two sisters, Linda (and spouse Glen) Hughes, Mentone, and Sadie Bays, North Manchester; two nieces, Amy Likes, Albion, and Joni Westerberg, North Manchester; two nephews, Glen Jr. (and spouse Erica) Hughes, Mentone, and Damon J. Prater, Akron; one great-niece; three great-nephews; and a very special friend, Goldie Goble, Claypool. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Revs. Harry Crace and James Rowe officiating. Burial is in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
