Judy A. Cord, age 85, of Winona Lake, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at 9:15 a.m. in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Judy was born July 21, 1935, in Shelbyville, to Ralph E. and Olive B. Dill Worland. She was united in marriage to Robert S. Cord on Oct. 31, 1954, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Shelbyville. He proceeded her in death on May 28, 2015.
She was a 1953 graduate from Shelbyville High School and continued her education at Indiana University. She was an avid quilter and a longtime member of the Warsaw Arts & Crafts Club.
Judy is survived by daughter, Bambi (James) Maze, Warsaw; son, Jeff (Diane) Cord, Shreveport, La.; three grandchildren: Zack (Tricia) Maze, Long Grove, Ill.; Brooke (Travis) Moore, Huntington; and Rebecca Cord, Lafayette, La. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren: Haylee, Evan, Breanna and Avery.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert “Bob” Cord; grandson, Jeff Cord Jr.; two sisters: Millie Wagner, Naples, Fla.; and Beverly Evans, Orroville, Calif.
Celebration of Life Services will be private. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel is entrusted to arrangements.
