ARGOS – Juanita Gay Stevens Duff, 76, Meadow Lane, Plymouth,  died at 2:30 a.m. June 7, 2016, in  We Belong Senior Home, Plymouth. She had been in declining health for the past couple of years.
She was born March 1, 1940, in Red Wine, Ky., to Sanford and Elizabeth Hill Stevens. On June 29, 1957, in Argos, she married David L. Duff, who preceded her death March 18, 2013. They shared 55 years.
She had lived most of her life in the Argos Community. She was a homemaker/housewife. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard and searching for new collectibles to decorate her home. She loved and served the Lord and was active in her church throughout her life, singing and teaching Sunday School and setting a great example for her family and those around her. She never knew a stranger and was always ready to sit and listen to a good story, as well as share a few of her own. She could be found many days sitting on the front porch enjoying the sunshine and gentle breeze.
She was a member of the Plymouth Church of Jesus Christ.
Surviving are her children: David Duff Jr. (and spouse Kim), Argos; Elizabeth Granning (and spouse John) and Naomi (and spouse Andrew) Ball, all of Rochester; James (and spouse Ellen) Duff, Warsaw; and Stephen (and spouse Sue) Duff, Bourbon; 15 grandchildren and one very soon grandchild; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Ruby Brock and Bonnie (and spouse John) Susits, all of Argos; Linda (and spouse Jim) Hale, Lakeville; four brothers: Herbert (and spouse Shirley) Stevens, Argos; Hobert (and spouse Claudett) Stevens, Lakeville; William (and spouse Linda) Stevens, Punta Gorda, Fla.; and Sherman (and spouse Linda) Stevens, Bourbon. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Harold “Curly,” Donald and James Stevens; and a sister, Edna Roberts.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ, Argos, with the Rev. Lloyd Howard, the Argos Church of Jesus Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.
