NORTH WEBSTER – Joyce L. Peach, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 7:20 p.m. June 1, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born June 3, 1934, in Florence, Ala., to Charles A. and Lola Mae Hubbard Freshour. In 1951, she married William Clem and they divorced. In 1959 she was married to Charles C. Peach, who preceded her in death April 15, 2003. She attended public schools in Savannah, Tenn., where she lived until she was 16 years old. Then her family moved to Marion. She was a homemaker, and formerly worked at RCA & Foster Forbes, Marion. After she was married, she settled in Fairmount, until she moved to the North Webster/Warsaw area permanently in 1978, after coming to Barbee Lake in 1969. She also wintered in Clearwater, Fla., for many years. She was a member of American Legion Post 253 Auxiliary, North Webster, and Elks Lodge, Largo, Fla. She was president and member of American Legion Post 313 Auxiliary, Fairmount; past member of the Lakeland Kiwanis Club, North Webster; and past member of the Red Hat Ladies Club, Syracuse. She is survived by two sons, the Honorable Judge Thomas L. (and spouse Carla) Clem, Pendleton, and Charles S. (and spouse Doris) Peach, Nappanee; two sisters, Lara Mae Tinkel, Marion, and Lois Gulley, Warsaw; six grandchildren: Christina (and spouse Wes) Gerber, Yorktown; Nathan (and spouse Holly) Clem, Bolivar, Mo.; Debbie (and spouse Scott) Sweany, Salem; Tami (and spouse Kevin) Brechner, Fishers; Julie (and spouse Dan) Wuthrich, New Paris; Mitchel (and spouse Jaime) Hollar, Milford; 15 great-grandchildren; and dozens of nieces, nephews and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband; three sisters: Lizzie Evelyn Jones, Lorraine Freshour and Lavern Taylor; and six brothers: Lincoln Freshour, Lee Freshour, Lester Freshour, Leonard Freshour, Lindzy J. “L.J.” Freshour and Lonnie Freshour. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
