SYRACUSE - Joyce Bond, 86, of Syracuse, died at 3 a.m. Jan. 17, 2010, in her residence.
She was born Aug. 31, 1923, in Webster, Mass., to William and Barbara Hoye Gevry. She married Wylie N. Bond, who died in 1979.
She attended schools in Massachusetts. She moved to North Webster from Massachusetts in 1965. She formerly worked at Pasou Foods, Syracuse; 3 Flags Drive Inn, Syracuse; and Mike's Soda Shop, North Webster. She attended Syracuse Church of God and was a member of Eagles Lodge 3760, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1342 and Ladies Bowling League, all in Syracuse.
Surviving are four daughters: Joyce (and spouse Michael) Hardy, Sidney; Sharon Ringler and Donna (and spouse Paul), all of Syracuse; and LuAnn (and spouse Steven) Wiggs, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grand; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane Leigh, North Webster; and a brother, Harold Gevry, Webster, Mass. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a granddaughter, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, two sisters and three brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Kent Butcher officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.
