Joyce Arnett, 72, Pierceton, passed away at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct. 12, 1945, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Richard and Aggie Poe Gibson.
She was a resident of Pierceton and was formerly of Warsaw.
On May 24, 1963, she was united in marriage to Carl Arnett in Celina, Tenn.
She worked for 33 years at Jomac as a trainer. She was a member of Harvest Community Church, Pierceton, and participated in Ladies Sewing Club and Ladies Devotional Group. In addition, she was the head cook at multiple church camps and was a coordinator for the Pierceton summer free lunch program.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Arnett, Pierceton; children: Tina (spouse Wayne) Burkhart, Columbia City; Kristi (spouse Patrick) Higgins, Warsaw; Sherri (spouse Chris) Shepherd, South Whitley; and Staci (spouse Jason) Sigler, Syracuse; sisters, Becky (spouse Gary) Krotke, Laketon, and Dottie (spouse Bill) Teeter, North Manchester; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and a grandchild, Chase Higgins.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in Harvest Community Church, Pierceton. Pastor Glenn Hall will officiate the funeral service.
Visitation will be three hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Harvest Community Church.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
