SOUTH WHITLEY - Joyce Ann Thomas, 65, of South Whitley, died unexpectedly in her residence May 22, 2010, of natural causes.
She was born Feb. 20, 1945, in Fort Wayne, to Dale J. and Shirley M. Waters Reiff. On April 30, 2006, in Hawaii, she married John Thomas, who survives.
She graduated from South Whitley High School in 1963. She worked 32 years at Invensys (Controls), North Manchester, in the shipping/receiving department. She also owned and operated Joyce's Carwash, North Manchester. In recent years, she and her husband ran J.T. Transportation Service. She was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are a daughter, Denise (and spouse Nelson) Constantine, Lawrenceburg, Ga.; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; her mother, Shirley Reiff, Columbia City; a brother, Steve (and spouse Doris) Reiff, South Whitley; a stepson; and two stepdaughters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
