Joy E. Williams, 63, Syracuse, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Oct. 21, 2015, at her home. She was born Jan. 10, 1952, in Teegarden, to Buel and Martha Hoover Wheeler. On March 3, 1979, in Teegarden, she married Jerry W. Williams, who survives. She graduated from Laville High School and lived most of her life in the Teegarden, Nappanee and Syracuse areas except for a few years in Alabama. She was a homemaker. She formerly attended the United Pentecostal Church, Walkerton. Also surviving are one daughter, Amanda Scott, Niles, Mich.; two sons, Tim Hostetler, Smithtown, Ala., and James (and Krystal Spraque) Williams, New Paris; five grandchildren; one sister, Joan Surface, Plymouth; and one brother, David (and spouse Cindy) Wheeler, South Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Doris Jean Boocher. No public services will be held. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County 4356 N.
