Joseph Hidlebaugh, age 74, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 10:27 a.m. in his residence.
Joseph was born Jan. 5, 1947, in Mattoon, Ill., to Clarence and Elizabeth Fiorentino Hidlebaugh. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Wisely on June 29, 1974, in Mattoon, Ill., who preceded him in death on Sept. 19, 2020.
He proudly served his country as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County for 36 years. He worked as a printer for RR Donnelley & Sons, Warsaw, retiring with 35 years of service. Joseph was a member of the American Legion #49, Warsaw, and he was a Ham Radio Operator for the Warsaw Amateur Radio Club.
Joseph is survived by children, Joel (Angela) Hidlebaugh, of Warsaw; Kendra (Derek) Pike, of Leesburg; and Jeremiah Hidlebaugh, of Warsaw; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six sisters: Fran, Lana, Maria, Liz, Melody and Ida.
A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 19 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow immediately at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel with his son, Jeremiah Hidlebaugh, officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors rendered by Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
