ROCHESTER — Joseph E. Felke, 66, Claypool, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Feb. 11, 2017, at his home. He was born on Nov. 25, 1950, in Plymouth, the son of Francis Edward and Evelyn Joan Owens Felke. On April 8, 2004, in Claypool, he married Marsha Welch; she survives. He had worked in advertising at the Times-Union newspaper in Warsaw for over 40 years. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, and had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed horse racing and playing cards, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their events. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Felke, Claypool; children: Tressa Marie (husband Rod) Mohler, Hoffman Estates, Illinois; Marc Joseph (wife Desiree) Felke; and Cassandra Lynn Felke, Hoffman Estates; a stepdaughter, Amy (husband Aaron) Bird, Rochester; grandchildren: Anthony Felke, Nicholas Felke, Miquel Felke, Morgan Mohler, Mackenzie Bird, Miranda Felke, Brooklynn Felke and Mariah Felke; his parents, Ed and Joan Felke, Rochester; a brother, Mike Felke, Rochester; and a niece, Brandy Babcock, Buchanan, Mich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, with the Rev. Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, where military graveside services will be conducted. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros.
