COLUMBIA CITY – Jon A. Fulton, 55, Columbia City, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 14, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born Sept. 27, 1959, in Detroit, Mich., to Buddy Doyle and Anna Gail Cox Fulton. On April 21, 1984, in Hazel Park, Mich., he married Linda A. Brown, his loving wife of 30 years, who survives. He lived in the Detroit metropolitan area before moving to Whitley County in 1991. He graduated from East Detroit High School with the Class of 1977 and attended Rochester College, Rochester Hills, Mich., where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in religious education. He worked at Passages Inc., Columbia City, since November 1991. He served as a deacon at Warsaw Church of Christ and was a supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Also surviving are three children: Jennifer L. (and spouse Ryan) Porter, Elizabeth and Jonathan Fulton, all of Rochester Hill; and two brothers, Paul J. (and spouse Shelley) Fulton, Bad Axe, Mich., and Michael B. (and spouse Susan) Fulton, Warren, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Burial is in South Park Annex Cemetery.
