SYRACUSE - Jolene Simpson, 80, of Warsaw, died at 9:50 a.m. June 15, 2010, in Lakeland Rehabilitation, Milford.
She was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Knox, to Isom and Lula Allen Holbrook.
Living in the area most of her adult life, she was a homemaker and was known by her family and friends as an avid collector. She found solace and joy tending her flower garden.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Jr. (and spouse Cathy) Barth, Warsaw, and Charles (and spouse Molly) Barth, North Webster; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight stepchildren; two brothers, Cash and Harold "Curley" Holbrook; and two sisters, Madlyn Rausch and Jean Van. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Roy Shepherd officiating.
Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
