Jolane Sue Parker

Posted
TUCSON, Ariz. – Jolane Sue Parker, a longtime resident of Oro Valley, Ariz., passed away on Aug. 14, 2018 at 3:20 p.m., at Banner University Medical Center Hospital, from long-term cardiovascular challenges.

She was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in Warsaw, to Kenneth Drudge and Bettie Lou Kelly Drudge, both deceased.

Jolane graduated as an X-ray technician from Elkhart University in Indiana before meeting and marrying Stephen Parker on Oct. 16, 1965.

Jolane was a member of First Methodist Church in her hometown of Warsaw.

She was a devout wife and stay-at-home mother.  She was very active socially. She was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority and volunteered as a kindergarten aide at Chester Elementary in North Manchester. In Warsaw, she worked part time at Creative Floral in the early 1980s. Jo was a golfer, an officer at the El Con Social Club and had held several offices in Sun City Oro Valley where she also served on the Neighborhood Pride committee and Ladies Nine Holers until early 2018.

Jolane loved good food, socializing, shopping and decorating, going to movies and plays with friends and family. Jo, as most knew her, also adored her time watching sunrises and sunsets on Chapman Lake, as well as the fireworks there on the Fourth of July. She had a wonderful smile and personality and could light up a room. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Parker, of Warsaw and Oro Valley, and her daughters, Angela of Tucson, Ariz., and Kristi Parker of Boise, Idaho, as well as her grandson, Andrew Parker Beckett, Boise, and her faithful companion, Moe the Maltese.

Jo chose to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be announced in Oro Valley and in Warsaw, in the near future. Arrangements are being handled by Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw.
