A joint venture between two major area insurance companies brings their total client base to more than 7,000. It also allows the agencies, which have been in Kosciusko County for several generations, to stay local. Hall & Marose Agency Inc. and Silveus Insurance Partners LLC announced Wednesday they are coming together to form Hall Marose Silveus LLC. Their combined customer base will be 7,084, according to Cassie Klenke, marketing coordinator for Silveus, and she said no layoffs are expected. “Our customers will have the same agent as before, the same phone number, the same communication. The people will remain the same,” said Hall & Marose President Mike Hall, whose great-grandfather started the agency in 1920. He also said by phone Wednesday they hope to provide better services and, in some areas, perhaps lower prices under the new banner. Representatives of both companies specified that the joining of the two is neither a merger nor an acquisition. Gill and Roeser Holdings Inc. advised the agencies on the joint venture. Hall said the agencies have been in a dialogue over the past couple of years regarding the venture, and that it was decided now is the right time. “It’s a more competitive environment,” he said. “By combining the two agencies, from a volume standpoint, we can provide better services.” It was a tough decision, he added, but he said he’s glad that his fourth-generation agency can stay local. “Since 1920, when our agency began, we have focused on serving the local community by offering the best insurance products and services available,” Hall said in a prepared statement. “Partnering with Silveus Insurance Partners will ensure that this ideal will never change.” In the same statement, Hall & Marose Vice President Kevin Marose said, “We will now offer more choices in insurance carriers, more insurance expertise and respond in a quicker, more efficient fashion.” And Silveus Insurance Partners CEO Craig Snow also remarked on the joint venture allowing his agency to stay local. “We are extremely proud of the fact that the new joint venture will continue to be locally owned and driven by local needs,” he said in a prepared statement. “Together, we will continue to build and sustain quality, long-term relationships with our clients and provide strong support to the communities in which our clients live and work.” The newly formed Hall Marose Silveus LLC will offer auto, home and personal insurance, business insurance, and life, health and benefits insurance. Its office will be at 1021 Mariners Drive, Warsaw.
