ROCHESTER — John Wesley "Jack" Sayger, 88, Rochester, passed away at 6:32 a.m. July 25, 2017, at Life Care Center, Rochester.
He was born May 20, 1929, near Athens, to Herschel and Mary Feece Sayger. On April 5, 1952, he married Elnora Avanell Tyler, who survives.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the Nike guided missile division.
A celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Chaplain Jason See will officiate.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home. Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honors team will conduct military rites.
Interment will be in Athens-Hoover Cemetery.
