PENDLETON – John Wayne Weston, 57, passed away March 10, 2012, in his residence.
He was born Sept. 10, 1954, in Rensselaer, to Gilbert and Carolyn Reed Weston. On Oct. 18, 1980, he married Debra D. Harless, who survives.
An Anderson resident since 1981, he worked at Conner Prairie Interactive History Park, Fishers, as lead historic woodworker for 30 years.
He was a member of IAACA, Cutter’s Raiders Paradise Pass and S.A.S.S and many other organizations. He was a master carpenter and well known for his woodworking.
Also surviving are his mother, Carolyn Weston, Morocco; a sister, Kathy Sigo, Goodland; a niece, Melissa (and spouse Tim) McEwen; nephews, Eric Bailey, Jeff (and spouse Heather) Harless and James (and spouse Kelly) Harless; eight great-nieces, Lauren Hall and Maya, Anna and Emma McEwen and Harley, Paige, Emily and Ashley Harless; a great-nephew, Colton Hall; a sister-in-law, Bernita Harless; two brothers-in-law, Mike and Pat Harless; and many friends in the Warsaw area. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Wayne Weston, and brothers-in-law, Robin and Tim Harless.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Henry County.
