John W. Stahly
NAPPANEE – John W. Stahly, 97, of Nappanee, died at 12:18 a.m. March 2, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
He was born May 24, 1914, to Charles and Lulu Wyman Stahly. On June 29, 1935, he married Dorothy Helen Method.
He attended Nappanee High School and was the last surviving member of the graduating class of 1932. He lived his entire married life in the Nappanee area and wintered in Sarasota, Fla. He was a farmer, had a dairy herd and was a car dealer.
He had two daughters, Barbara (and spouse Jim) Moore, and Jill (and spouse Bill) Rex; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Brethren Church, with the Revs. Bart Shaw and Tom Schiefer officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
